Recovery is seen as a gradual, ongoing process of social, behavioral, and cognitive change. Major emphasis is placed on personal & social responsibility and community members are encouraged to examine their behavior. This process allows members the ability to evolve self-efficacy over time, which enables them to see trials and tribulations as experiences in life that foster growth and self-discovery rather than situations to avoid. Our core values are centered around developing a healthy lifestyle, engaging in self-discovery, adopting personal & social responsibility, and promoting positive risk-taking behavior.

After more than a decade of struggling with addiction, Chris was forced to make a change in 2009. Initially, Chris was not focused on embracing long-term sobriety; he simply wanted a better life than the day-to-day struggle of active addiction. However, after roughly six months of staying clean and sober, he discovered a newfound sense of purpose in giving back to the community, and this transformed his life.
We do not require anything more than a 3-month commitment, and our hope is that community members will begin to benefit from the process and choose to extend and complete the program. Younger clients who attend treatment centers with more luxurious amenities may actually have a higher risk of relapse than those who attended centers with more modest amenities. While amenities are important, they are not the primary focus of the program. At Ethos Recovery, we believe that treating substance abuse requires a comprehensive approach to addressing the underlying issues contributing to addiction.
